Application:

Internal: In chronic bronchitis, upper respiratory tract infections (asthma, cough) Recommended for colds with fever in children. In chronic red catarrh, colic and gas. It has expectorant, anti-inflammatory action.

Externally: gargle for angina, nervous exhaustion, skin eczema, rheumatism.

The Latin name of the herb is Hyssopus officinali.

Description: Aromatic perennial herbaceous tufted plant with strongly branched root. Stem erect, quadrangular, up to 60 cm tall. Leaves opposite, sessile, lanceolate, slightly curled towards the underside. Flowers blue-violet, rarely white, gathered in apical spike-like inflorescences. The fruit breaks down into 4 nuts. It blooms from July to September.


Chemical composition: about 1% essential oil, which includes pine and pinocamphon, cineole, sesquiterpene camphene. It also contains tannins, oleanolic and ursolic acid, flavone hesperidin, resins, sugars, the glucosides diosmin and hysopine, organic acids and more.


Usage:

Internally: in the form of infusion of 1/2 cup 3-4 times a day for 2-3 weeks.

Externally: gargle decoction, gurgling.


Preparation: 2 teaspoons of herb is poured with 1/4 liter of boiling water, drink warm / dose for one day /.
